Having run successful retreats in Spain and Portugal, we believe that the wonderfully unspoiled Greek island of Syros in the Cyclades is just perfect for our guests.
Although only a hop and a skip from trendy Mykonos, this wonderfully aristocratic island offers a different world where the pace is slow, food local and organic and a magical atmosphere which will capture your heart at first view.
Featured in Conde Nast Traveller 2025 edition, Villa Evangelini is recommended as the best villa for families to stay on the island. Villa Evangelini dates back to the 1900’s and was completely refurbished by owners Dimitris and Evangelini who have filled the house with beautiful antique furniture and original frescoes. Care has been taken to retain its original features whilst offering guests super modern facilities. There are 4 bedrooms in the main house (3 upstairs and 1 downstairs – all with en-suite bathrooms) plus 3 further bedrooms in the wonderfully bohemian separate guests houses in the gardens (each with en-suite bathrooms).

Flights to and from your destination or ferry transfers from Mykonos or Athens
(if your flight arrives at Mykonos before 13.00 then you can catch the 15.00 ferry to Syros). Alternatively, we can recommend a simple pension at Mykonos port – the owners will meet you at the airport and then drop you at the ferry terminal the following morning).
